Our staff and volunteers make the SPARC program run smoothly.  Under the direction of Monica Benteler we have terrific program specialists; Michelle Burchett and Michelle Barbiere.  Michelle and Michelle both come to SPARC with experience from our partners Therapeutic Recreation.  We are incredibly fortunate to have such fantastic staff working in the clubhouse.  All the SPARC members consider "our Michelles" close friends.  

From volunteer to new staff member, Brian Quigley is always ready to tackle any job he's given at SPARC.  He says "he loves coming to SPARC and feels a great purpose in his life now."  Brian is everyone's "bud" and a vital member of the team.  His competitive nature gets us all fired up for afternoon games while we wait for MetroAccess.

We also have art and music therapies that each and every SPARC club member looks forward to weekly.  Sunny Trippel is our Music Director and Ann Burdell is our Art Therapist.  Both these dynamic women bring enriching activities that we all enjoy...they bring out the "inner artist" in each of us! 

How can we thank our volunteers?!!  We are so fortunate that Mari Tenga has joined the team!  She brings her energy and talents every week to the club house.  We're all learning sign language...and it doesn't feel like studying - we're having so much fun!  Mari is a dedicated and valued member of the club....she's just as competitive as Brian though.. so game playing is pretty cut-throat at SPARC these days!  Beware!

We also welcome Vinny Ruben to the volunteer corps at SPARC!  Vinny is ready to learn anything new in the clubhouse.  We can count on Vinny to assist any staff that needs an extra pair of hands.  He also LOVES music therapy!

How do we plan and prepare the fast paced schedule at SPARC?  Well, that falls squarely on the broad shoulders of Monica Benteler!!  She's our club leader (Director of Programs).  Monica takes such care in polling the club members and organizing activities that they want to do...like we always say at SPARC, "they talk, we listen".  Monica is the cornerstone of the organization and a bundle of enthusiasm and creative ideas.  With Monica and the wonderful staff and volunteers, we are in great hands!!
